Episode 9: Midwest Region Preview

Welcome to Episode 9 of The Podcast About Division III Baseball. This is the eighth and final regional preview podcast -- this one focuses on the Midwest Region. We discuss the best teams from each of the four Midwest conferences. 

• WIAC (at 0:34): *extremely Seinfeld voice* What's the deal with the WIAC? (No, seriously, does anyone know what's going on here? Do they have an automatic bid this year or not? Please let us know.) Anyway, we offer the not-so-hot take that Whitewater is going to be ridiculously good again, and why La Crosse and Oshkosh could be the Warhawks' biggest competition.
• NACC (at 9:09): Concordia-Chicago looks primed for a huge year with an even more loaded roster than the one that went to the World Series in 2017
• MIAC (at 12:19): St. Thomas and their outrageously talented pitching staff will look to avenge their surprise conference tourney loss last year, with Bethel, St. John's and Macalester all in the running as well
• UMAC (at 18:17): St. Scholastica has won this conference every single season since 1998. Need we say more?

We conclude (at 21:13) by shouting out some other notable players to watch in the Midwest Region, before giving our official TEAMS TO BEAT and our Player and Pitcher of the Year contenders. Finally, we give some final thoughts on completing the regional preview podcasts and prepare for the real season to get under way.
